KAMPALA, Uganda|The Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) National Coordinator Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh has lashed out at his critics who take advantage of his ‘insuffiicient’ (low) education to suggest he is less competent.

Saleh was being hosted on the popular Capital FM (91.3) Capital Gang Talk Show hosted by Oscar Semweya Musoke on Saturday.

“If you are going to to talk about wealth creation you must mention factors of production such as land, labour,” said Gen. Saleh.

Other gangsters are Ofwono Opondo the Executive Director Uganda Media Center and Government Spokesman, others are Hon Ibrahim Semuju Nganda the Kira legislator. Also on the gang is NRM Women league member Lydia Wanyoto.

Gen Saleh said OWC is doing well as it delivers through the agencies such as trade, local government, agriculture and projects.

Gen Saleh lashed out at his critics who take advantage of his insufficient education to undermine his competent. “You need to come to my model farm in Kapeka to appreciate that I have competent, we are also experts,” he said.

He said since he was thrown out of parliament when he was appointed Minister for Defence for lack of papers decided to go and complete his education. “When Mzee appointed me Minister for Defence after defeating rebels in Sudan parliament rejected me, I then went back to Nakasongola completed s4, s5 and s6, I then went to Kimaka for a specialised course in agricultural production where i excelled and emerged with a B,” Saleh defended himself.

Ofwono who seemed not contented raised issues regarding failed operations of the NAADs supported initiative.

“Ofwono why did they allow the army in parliament and not in production?” asked the rather furious Saleh as Ofwono trembled on mic. In response, Ofwono said: “If the constitution allows, we can amend the constitution to allow army handle production as well.”

Scores of listeners demanded to know why OWC sidelined the operations of Ministry of Agriculture, but Saleh said they (MAAIF) are the ones managing the shs700 trillion shillings by government.

Gen Saleh lashed out at Ofwono for not also knowing the facts. He also took a strife at Kira Municipality MP Semuju Nganda whom he described as cruel. Semujju had earlier told Saleh; “Saleh we are seeing you, all that you are doing and those close to you who are getting enriched that is why you take all investors to your farm.”

But in response Gen. Saleh said: “I also see you, but Kapeka is not a farm, it is an industrial park, You must know those who are grabbing land in Kampala though you don’t have to be that cruel.”

Saleh said as National Coordinator of OWC, he doesn’t earn a salary, but just allowances that is paid under NAADS.
