KAMPALA- SHIFTMEDIA- She is got at the pitch. A star indeed in basketball. Now she brings the antics of the pitch as the new Dean of Victoria University.
Flavia ‘Flirsh’ Okectho has been named the Victoria University Dean of Students.
Flavia Oketcho, an ardent basketball fan and player who also doubles the Gazelles captain and has been playing basketball since 1998 amassing over 10 league titles with 4 clubs in the past 20 years.
“I appreciate the new roll and promise to take VU to new heights,” he said.
At VU, she brings a wealth of knowledge to improve the students welfare. She will be expected to boost the sports activities at the Ruparelia-owned University.
The former Kitante Hill and Makerere College student has featured for Lady Bucks, UCU Lady Canons, KCCA Leopards and JKL Lady Dolphins where she is currently.
As one most decorated player of the sport in the country, Oketcho brings a wealth of knowledge to improve the students’ welfare at Victoria University. Flavia is also expected to boost the sports activities at the Varsity.
Oketcho is a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication (majoring in Marketing and PR) from Uganda Christian University. She is an established entrepreneur, TV Presenter and Marketing consultant.
Victoria University, founded in 2013, is one of the leading universities in Uganda that stands out as a centre of academic excellence.
