BUDAKA, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| As the Christmas season draws nearer, scores of criminals are using all tricks to get cash to spend during the festive season.

As we speak parents of 14 year old Kasita Muyinda are in tears after their son was kidnapped  after he was taken by a relative for a ride.

 

The teenagers father, Dr. Difasi Muyinda, an Assistant Veterinary officer attached to the Budaka District Local Government told police that the kidnappers had called demanding for shs30 million before they can release Muyinda.

 

Muyinda was a student of Naalya Secondary School and a resident of Bwase cell in Budaka Town Council.

 

Police in Budaka have confirmed the case of kidnap  (SD REF:37/04/12/2021) and are hunting for the unknown suspects. According to police, the suspects are using telephone number 0755961625 registered in the names of Naguda Moreen to attract their ransom.

 

The Bukedi North region police spokesperson ASP Immaculate Alaso  warned the public against rushing to pay ransoms demanded by kidnappers.
