GONE 2 SOON: UCU Finalist Student Who Died In Fido Fido Church Collapse Was Due To Graduate This July

KAMPALA- SHIFTMEDIA– Lady luck wasn’t on her side. This is the sad tale of Uganda Christian University (UCU) finalist who succumbed to injuries after city church collapse on Monday.

Lorita Asiimwe died in the Fido Dido building collapse. According to UCU, the Human Resource management student was waiting for her graduation in July 2021.

Asiimwe had gone for lunch hour prayers at House of Rest church located on the second floor of the Busia king that caved in on Monday.

The Mukono based campus through their Twitter handle consoled. “It is on a sad note that we announce the death of Asimwe Lorita Blessy, a final year student of Ba. Human Resource Management.

She was one of the victims of the Fidodido building collapse yesterday. Lorita had gone for Lunch Hour Prayers and she was due to graduate in July 2021.

Asiimwe is the only victim that has died while 18 others sustained injuries after the ceiling of the building housing Fido Dido ice cream outlet along Kampala road collapsed.
